- Marvin the mighty! For his size Marvin Eder was unusually strong, and was phenomenal in all pressing feats. Like many others in those days, Marvin developed maximum power without drugs and other stimulatns - just plain hard, training!

- Doug Hepburn, Canadian powerhouse, was one of the strongest men in weightlifting circles. Hepburn won the world heavyweight lifting title in 1953. He accomplished this with regular training plus a strong determination to win. . . without drugs.

These examples don't hold up to historic scrutiny. We know that the top bodybuilders and weightlifters were using anabolic steroids in the 1950s.
